Standby mode When this unit is turned off by pressing the STANDBY/ON button on the front panel, this unit consumes a small amount of power. This state is called the standby mode. This unit’s power supply is completely cut off from the AC line only when the POWER switch on the rear panel is set in the OFF position or the AC power cord is disconnected. This unit features a magnetically shielded design, but there is still a chance that placing it too close to a TV set might impair picture color.
