Do not use different batteries together. •Do not use or store batteries in direct sunlight or other excessively hot place, such as inside a car or near a heater. This can cause batteries to leak, overheat, explode or catch fire. It can also reduce the life or performance of batteries. •When disposing of used batteries, please comply with governmental regulations or environmental public instruction’s rules that apply in your country or area. Using the remote control This remote control unit can be used to control the operations of other Pioneer components, including amplifiers, CD players, and tuners (including DAB/FM/AM tuners). •By pressing the Input source buttons on the remote control unit, the operation mode switches to control the corresponding components. For example, to operate a CD player, first press CD of Input source buttons, then the  button. •Even when the remote control unit is set to operate another input source component, the Amplifier controls continue to be enabled for amplifier operations. •Operations not recorded on the remote control unit can be recorded by using the learning function together with the remote control provided with the desired input source component. Buttons that can be recorded using the programming function are those within the dotted lines of the accompanying illustration. For details, see the section Programming signals from other remote controls. •Consult the users manuals for each component for detailed instructions regarding operations and functions. •Some operations may not be supported, depending on the component involved. Programming signals from other remote controls The operations of the remote control units for other components can be directly programmed into this unit’s remote control unit. Note •You can cancel or exit any of the steps by press and hold AMPLIFIER  for three seconds. You can also return to the next higher level by briefly pressing the AMPLIFIER  button. •After one minute of inactivity, the remote automatically exits the operation. 1While pressing the AMPLIFIER  , press MUTE. The remote LCD display shows SETUP. 2Use / to select LEARNING then press ENTER. The LCD on the remote prompts you for the component you want to control (for example CD or AUX). 3Press the input source button for the component you want to control then press ENTER. PRES KEY shows in the LCD display. 4Point the two remote controls towards each other then press the button that will be doing the learning on this amplifier’s remote control. PRES KEY starts flashing to indicate the remote is ready to accept a signal. •The remote controls should be 3 cm to 5 cm apart. 3 cm to 5 cm AMPLIFIERSOURCE OPEN/CLOSE DIRECT DIMMER S.RTRV CDPHONOAUX TUNERUSB TAPE SOURCEAMP TONE/BAL 5Press the corresponding button on the other remote control that is sending (teaching) the signal to this amplifier’s remote control.
