Kani island surf break (ninjas) access

Hi - if you are an experienced surfer, can you access/paddle out to the surf break just off the island (which is called ninjas in the Maldives surf guides)? The surfing webpage does not make this clear, and I know some other local islands charge an extra supplement to be able to surf their island break. Thanks!

Sure you can paddle. No prob. Even if you are not experienced.. easy from Kani resort. Walk to northern side of island. Short paddle (30m) across the boat channel to the island (aim for right of jetty). There is a pathway to the other side of the small island where you can get to the break. Enjoy!
