Sofitel Broadbeach is great for such a stay. Far enough from Surfers rowdiness but close enough to take part in the social activity of. Surfers. Broadbeach has great restaurants & the casino , plus access to the south & quieter parts of the Gold Coast.

Ten days is probably a good amount of time to stay. I normally stay six days/six nights. Sometimes feeling like an extra day or two would be good. However I normally head up to the Sunshine Coast for four nights when I leave the Gold Coast.There is a lot to do at the Gold Coast with the theme parks, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Q1 Tower, shopping at Pacific Fair or just relaxing at the beach and hotel pool. There are some nice tours that you can do to the Gold Coast Hinterland which are also lovely.
