Noise isn't a problem at all. Instead, the location is wonderful, with the benefits and without the downsides.

Not so much the traffic noise but night club noise, but they are every where in Auckland. You might try the Sofitel it is more expensive but much quieter and it is an Accor Hotel

We have never experienced a problem with noise. The location is on the doorstep of great restaurants.

If noise is an issue for you, because it’s an older hotel with single glazing on 2 streets with lots of traffic & people, somewhere like the Sofitel Viaduct would be better. I have stayed both places & the Soffital is very quite compared to the Mercure. The new Soffital being built at the moment close to the Mercure should also have double glazing too

Only found it to be an issue on one occasion; a Saturday night. Generally one is assured of a wonderful night's rest.

I stayed in 7th and 8th floors... both roadside view as well as sea view.. i enjoyed the stay and havent faced any issues from the streets. stay was comfortable

The Hotel is built with double glazing and has just completed a refit - the location is very central so good for city activities plus close to main transport hub - while there is a city "hum" it is not to obtrusive - I suggest request a higher floor and facing the city as opposed the premium ocean views ( as this overlooks the port and associated noises - :)

Envoyer un merci ?We were on a high floor so didn’t notice the noise, this may be different on a lower floor. If you are looing for a quiet city hotel I can highly recommend the Sofitel.

I loved the location and would suggest a higher floor if you are concerned about noise. I didn't find the location noisy but l am a heavy sleeper!

Sadly none of the downtown Auckland hotels are quiet; this hotel was particularly bad as there was not only road construction but also other hotel construction. Langham is quiet but only if your room isn't facing the street behind as alleyway for rubbish collection and loud noise during the evening.

The Location is great but the noise was bad because we were in the front rooms, i think if we were at the back of the hotel it would of be fine.

There is one side of the Hotel that very noisy due to street performers. The front desk moved us to a quiet room. Otherwise this hotel is in a great location and a good value.
