There is a beautiful Italian restaurant in the little alley next to H&M in Bourke St Mall which sits on the old post office delivery lane, try it, you wont regret it.

I love Dragon Boat Restaurant which has amazing yum cha. About a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

Flower Drum ( Chinese) is nearby and excellent. The Press Club ( a little more distant) is also very good. Melbourne has numerous excellent restaurants within reasonable walking distance.

This hotel is right near Melbourne's China Town - just 5 minutes walk away at the most. Here you will find a huge selection of Chinese restaurants. Also, along Swanston St just to the right as you leave the hotel via the main restaurant, you will find a wide selection of other Asian restaurants, notably Vietnamese. You should be able to eat very well here! Finally there are a couple of little coffee shops again just on Swanston St, but this time turn left out of the hotel, where you can get a good light breakfast (coffee, muffin, raisin toast, pastry, yoghurt etc). Enjoy your visit.

Sorry, re my directions, I was turned around - you will find the Vietnamese Restaurants to your LEFT out of the main hotel entrance, and the coffee shop/breakfast to the RIGHT. Apologies for confusion.
