Do not use the headphones near water. 3. Make sure nothing is placed on the power cable. Do not place the device where the cable can become worn. Connecting See the Quick Installation Guide for instructions on how to connect the headphones to your computer or to your audio/video device. Note: You can only connect analogue signals to the distribution box. You can connect your existing speakers to the 5.1 Spk Out connection. If you have two speakers (left and right), connect these to the FR and FL connections. Use 1. Press the Power button on the distribution box. The Power indicator will be lit blue. 2. Set the output to Headphone. The headphone indicator will be lit blue and the sound will be heard via the headphones. Press the Headphone/Speaker button again. The indicator will turn red and the sound will be heard via the speakers. 3. Have your computer produce a sound. 4. If using headphones: Set the channel to 2.1 if the device has been connected as shown in 2A of the Quick Installation Guide. Set the channel to 5.1 if the device has been connected as shown in 2B of the Quick Installation Guide. Troubleshooting Problem Cause Possible solution The distribution box has not been turned on. Turn the distribution box on. If the Power indicator is not lit, check whether the adapter has been connected to the distribution box correctly. The audio cable has not been connected correctly to the sound card. Check whether the cable has been connected correctly to the sound card or another sound source. The headphones have not been connected. Connect the headphones to the connection on the front of the distribution box. The wrong output has been selected. The Headphone/Speaker indicator is lit red. Press the Headphone/Speaker button once (the indicator will turn blue). No sound is heard from the headphones. The volume is set too low. Check the volume setting of the audio source (computer, DVD, etc.). Check the volume setting of the headphones. The audio cable has not been connected correctly to the sound card. Check the connection to the soundcard or another sound source. If necessary, see the instruction manual. The volume is too low. Increase the volume. No sound can be heard from the speakers. The volume in Windows is too low. Increase the volume in Windows. You are playing an audio CD. The switch is set to 5.1. The audio CD uses 2.1 channels. Set the switch to 2.1. No low tones can be heard (subwoofer) The volume for the subwoofer/centre speaker is too low. Adjust the volume of the subwoofer/centre speaker. I cannot find a digital input on the distribution box. The distribution box does not have a digital (optical/coaxial) sound input. Connect the digital sound input from your device (for example, a games console) to a suitable amplifier. If the amplifier has an analogue 5.1 output, connect the distribution box to this output (see 2B.b of the Quick Installation Guide). The problem is not listed here.
